Golf-ball to tennis-ball sized hail pounded homes in the northwest Twin Cities metro Monday afternoon, August 5th, 2019.
The city of Watertown, MN, saw hail as big as tennis balls and cities closer to the Twin Cities metro like Maple Grove saw ping pong sized hail that damaged roofs and siding.
The following areas have been affected by the recent storms: Delano, Medina, Maple Grove, Maple Plain, Minneapolis, Brooklyn Park, Ham Lake, Blaine, Wayzata and more in the northwest metro area.

The severe thunderstorm warning for Central hennepin, Anoka and northwestern Ramsey counties will continue until 1:30pm today. Please be aware of the storms and take cover if you see hail start falling.
